It is believed that the earliest form of traditional “trumpet” was the Kudu Horn – called ixilongo in isiXosa and mhalamhala in Tshivenda – which was blown to summon African villagers to meetings. The aptly named Kuduzela, which is based on the design of the handsome Kudu’s curved horns, combines ancient tradition, traditional conservation and modern manufacturing in a harmonius blend between original Kudu horns and South African entrepreneurial spirit, making it a truly African experience. With this being an international event, South Africa welcomes foreigners (both players and supporters) with open arms. We are most certainly planning on sharing in the hype and excitement and will show them how to enjoy themselves in this country while making some well-deserved noise for the action on the field. |

With every Kuduzela being sold a percentage of the manufacturing cost of the Kuduzela will go to SANParks, to be used for their “Kids in the Parks Programme”, a course that is set on introducing future leaders of our country to the importance of conservation.
The Kuduzela is partially made from recycled plastics, and thus is also Produced with environmental consciousness in mind. |

Thus the Kuduzela not only plays an important role in the 2010 soccer hype, but also enables corporates to contribute to conservation and ensuring the sustainability and survival of a workforce as well.
To date the 'Kids in Parks' project has already earned R600 000 from the sales of the Kuduzela, through the initiative of First National Bank, a 2010 sponsor, who has purchased 150 000. |
